Seattle Restored is a program dedicated to revitalizing Seattle neighborhoods by activating empty storefronts and connecting them with local small business owners — particularly those from historically underrepresented communities. Their website serves as the hub for this work, connecting consumers with program participants, engaging property owners, and encouraging new businesses to get involved.
We redesigned the site to better reflect the energy of the program and to make it a more effective tool for all of the audiences it serves.

Project Highlights
- Participant Portfolio & Map — An interactive map plots program participants at their storefront locations across Seattle, with filters that allow users to sort and explore businesses by category — turning the site into a living directory of neighborhood activation.
- Accessibility & Multilingual Support — The site meets WCAG Level AA accessibility standards and includes multilingual translations, ensuring the program is welcoming and usable for Seattle’s diverse communities.
- Flexible Content Management — Built on the WordPress block editor, the site gives staff the ability to create flexible page layouts and surface current, relevant content without developer support. Custom forms and filterable news and events round out the content management toolkit.
